Botswana Botswana is often referred to as the "last wilderness". The natural wonders of this country reveal themselves in the flood plains and grasslands of Chobe National Park, the waterways and serene islands of the Okavango Delta and the stark beauty of the Makgadikgadi Pans and Kalahari Desert. Like the other southern African countries, Botswana is ideal for individual travel and safaris can be customized by combining the modules for each of these areas or combining some of them with other safari countries that are conveniently linked.
Chobe Safari ~ 3 DaysThe Serondella floodplain in Chobe provides large stretches of grassland which support herds of elephant, antelope, and the accompanying predators. Chobe can be reached by road transfers from Victoria Falls and an extension to a safari in Zimbabwe or may be combined with other parks in Botswana. You will be picked up either from the airport or hotel in Victoria Falls and driven across the border to the region in northern Botswana where four countries meet. The breathtaking diversity of Chobe wildlife is almost matched by the number of ways you can view it. Game viewing will be by Land Rover, river launch, or motor boat. Deluxe accommodations are provided at Mowana, Chobe Game or Chobe Chilwero Lodges.
Okavango Delta Wing Safari ~ 5 Days This "jewel of the Kalahari", the largest inland delta in the world forms when the Okavango river meets the wide expanse of desert and fans out to eventually disappear into the sand. The resultant habitat of waterways and islands is an oasis of serenity and is home to large and small mammals and birds. Accommodations are provided in twin bedded, traditional safari tents with sewn-in floors and windows. Your spacious, custom designed tent is carefully positioned to provide a fine view. Adjoining, you'll find a private, en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water, shower and flush toilet. The strategically located tents also have their own mini veranda with table and chairs.
